Stay out of the Sun Day

July 3rd is National Stay out of the Sun Day. Don’t forget the sun protection while you are enjoying your outdoor activities. To much exposure to ultraviolet rays can cause skin cancer and depress your immune system. Stay in the shade as much as possible. Always wear sunscreen when you are outdoors. Choose one that has broad spectrum protection and an SPF factor of 30 or higher and reapply often. Wear a hat that has 2-3 in brim all the way around to protect the top of your ears and neck. Cover as much skin as possible and chose clothes made of tightly woven fabric. Sheer or lightly woven fabric provides little protection.
