Short-Term Therapy Success Stories
When Marion R. admitted to Carriage House Assisted Living, she was very weak and required assistance with all of her activities of daily living. Her balance was impaired, and she had difficulty with walking and getting around her apartment safely. Due to her weakness and increased need for assistance, Marion was picked up on rehabilitation by our physical therapist, occupational therapist, and our speech therapist. An individualized plan of care was written for Marion’s specific areas of need that would help her to regain her strength, independence, and be able to remain in her assisted living apartment. Five days a week Marion participated in her rehabilitation program keeping a positive attitude, good sense of humor and determination to get well. Due to her hard work and dedication, Marion is now walking over 200 feet with her walker. Her balance has greatly improved and she now only requires minimal assistance with her activities of daily living. Way to go Marion!
