Letter from the Administrator

Family/Friends

We recently had our annual Fire Marshall inspection. After his review, it was found that power strips, not authorized by us, had been brought in to the building. Please ensure that you are not bringing anything in to the building without authorization, including: Items requiring batteries, electronics, power strips, anything requiring a plug-in. must be approved.

Also, I have been made aware that prescriptions and over-the-counter medications are being brought in without notification and/or approval of nursing staff. No medications, of any kind, may be brought in to the building for your loved one and certainly not for other residents without notification. We are required, by the state, to oversee medication dispensing. Any violations may lead to a 30 discharge letter.

And please, we ask that jewelry, with sentimental or monetary value, be left at home. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. We have residents that may view that “special ring,” as just something very shiny, and harmlessly walk away with it. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen items of value thrown away, buried, or flushed. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for your support

Bill
